Danish Nobly and international Cambio Healthcare Systems have entered a strategic collaboration on clinical logistics. It makes up for the hospitals’ waste of resources and ensures a more efficient task solution for the benefit of both healthcare professionals and patients.
Everyday life in many Danish hospital departments is still full of outdated paper lists and resource-heavy workflows, which take up unnecessary time on staff. Worklists, questions, requests, and information on paper are exchanged along with verbal messages in a stream among the healthcare staff during the day. It causes disruptions with the risk that important information will not be written into the patient’s electronic medical record (EPR), or simply be forgotten, or lost along the way.
Strategic collaboration on clinical logistics and EHR
Two prominent companies in healthcare IT, Danish Nobly and international Cambio Healthcare Systems, are now part of a strategic collaboration to further develop IT-tools for clinical logistics that can make up for the waste of resources and ensure a more efficient task solution for the benefit of both healthcare professionals and patients. For example, a nursing assignment can be sent to the nurse who is closest to the patient’s living room and who has time to take the assignment.
Since 2012, Nobly has had their solution for resource and task management within clinical logistics, RoOS by Nobly, running in hospital units at Odense University Hospital. Cambio Healthcare Systems develops and delivers their electronic patient record COSMIC to customers in a number of northern European countries, including the Region of Southern Denmark, the Faroe Islands, Greenland and the Armed Forces Health Service.
World premiere: Electronic patient record is expanded with clinical logistics
.With the collaboration, Nobly and Cambio Healthcare Systems are among the first in the world to integrate Nobly’s solution for clinical logistics deep into Cambio’s patient record COSMIC.
This means that clinical staff no longer have to log in and switch between several different systems, but that the relevant information about the patient is automatically exchanged between the systems. All necessary information about the patient is thus updated and at hand for the doctor or nurse, when and where they need them.
